Stand Alone Clinical Pathways

Updated over 2 weeks ago

UpHill clinical pathways, Stand Alone version, are the simplest version of our pathways. This version is primarily designed for consultation purposes, allowing healthcare professionals to:

  • Clarify doubts

  • Review and compare their current practices with the recommendations provided by guidelines based on the best available evidence

To access the clinical pathways, there are two main options:

  1. Enter the “Libray” menu, which includesa all the clinical algorithms.

When starting an algorithm, four options are available, each with different functionalities that can be consulted at any time:

Pathway

Shows the name of the condition addressed by the algorithm and its description

  • May include one or more diagnoses

  • If a disease is suspected, this is the algorithm to follow

References

  • Provides access to supporting articles via the “Open Reference” link

Phases

  • Indicates the existing phases of the algorithm and highlights the phase currently selected

Algorithms may include all phases or only some of them:

  • Diagnosis

  • Treatment

  • Prevention

  • Follow-up

  • Referral

  • Vaccination

  • Procedure

  • Patient Education

  • Prognosis

Clicking on any phase automatically opens the algorithm at that phase.

Restart

  • This feature allows the algorithm to be restarted from the beginning, regardless of the step currently in progress, erasing all progress made until that point.

Our algorithms have memory, meaning all decisions made by the healthcare professional are saved. This allows them to review the path taken at any time. If the algorithm is exited and reopened, it resumes from the point where it was left.

Note: Changing a previous decision will erase all subsequent steps, just like clicking the Restart button.

Details Bar

  • Located on the right-hand sidebar of the algorithm

  • Contains recommendations and additional information about actions/gateways, including supporting references
